I’ve been wanting to come on here and write a blog post but something always happens that sucks me away from the keyboard. Most recently it was a slight mishap with our kitchen ceiling. Its falling. Water damage. So as chunks of what I guess is sheet rock as well as the tiles from the double ceiling. (yes there is a ceiling under the ceiling. I bought a lemon-y old house. I even had it inspected. ) fall with little thumps to the floor, I’ve made our bathroom upstairs off limits and yell at everyone to stay out of the kitchen.
Anyway that’s not why I’m here, and you don’t want to read about my money pit. So. The first book of my trilogy is with a line editor now after 3 rounds with the developmental one, and Someone Else is starting to look like a real live book! I was terrified of her but she was in fact not a meanie, just direct and I got a chance to talk to her nearly face to face on Zoom which was so so helpful, we went through the whole thing and brainstormed the trouble spots. Also there were a few large changes that need to ripple through the other 2 books after this one and well. going to take a lot of editing.

Tik tok has been so flippin’ helpful for my writing, I found my people! Booktok is a great community connecting readers and authors, to audiobook makers(is there a better word? you know, the people reading books into audiobooks you know what I mean.) and cover artists, ghostwriters, anybody you want, they are there. I love it! I want to make videos talking about characters and share quotes I love, and on here too maybe put each character into this blog through their perspective. if that would interest anyone, let me know!
