Hello! Happy 2023! A lot of news and things happened to me the last year, some good and and some tragic but that’s life. You wouldn’t know what good is without the bad, right? Without anything to compare it to, everyday life would be very mundane. Well. even more than it can be already.
I’ll start bad news first. My mother passed away last June, unexpectedly. I’ve been dealing with waves of grief as they come. I read a beautiful poem that said grief exists because love did, and never really left.
We sold our house, we bought and lived in so we could accommodate my mom since she lived with us. It was too big and too expensive to maintain anyway so we decided to downsize a bit and go back to renting for awhile to get back on our feet. We love the new place and our neighbors are very nice. So that’s a plus. Don’t know what the future holds but I can look forward to it with hope instead of feeling like I’m drowning. Never get stuck in a place you can’t get out. Best nurse advice from one of my favorite supervisors.
Best news of all, my cover designer, who also edits, writes and self publishes her own amazing works, Elisabeth Garner helped me immensely by formatting the book so it can be uploaded! I tried already then the site went down for maintenance, I thought I broke it or I was kicked out for being terrible, lol! right off the bat. I’m hoping to get at least the ebook out for valentines day. If I didn’t screw up the print version should be out too. I’m excited to finally have it in my hands instead of just my head for 15 plus years.
